Courtauld classicists, byzantinists and medievalists are enthusiastic travellers, whether alone in pursuit of their research materials, or in small or large staff-led groups. In recent years Paul Crossley and Susie Nash have led a coach trip around N. France and Burgundy and Peter Stewart has taken students to visit Pompeii, both in connection with taught courses.
