Thesis: Father and Son, Pivovarov and Pepperstein: Defining Two Generations of Moscow Conceptualism

Since the early 1970s, the key artists of Moscow Conceptualism have employed various means to enhance the discursive character of their work. This case study of two artists from different generations, Viktor Pivovarov is Pavel Pepperstein’s father, reveals its origin, evolution and implications.
