A Passion for Drawings: Collectors at the Courtauld
28 February - 9 June 2002

Raoul Dufy, Le bateau a voile (Sailing boat) c.1907-1908
The extraordinary range and diversity of drawings in the Courtauld Institute Gallery collections were brought together as the result of a series of magnificent bequests, assembled by several collectors with very different motives, personalities and resources. Featured drawings by Cezanne, Rembrandt and Rubens, and major works by 18th and 19th century British watercolourists.
