Applications can now be made online at http://www.studentfinance.direct.gov.uk/

To guarantee you get a payment at the start of the first term of your course, make sure you and your family fill in and return your application form by the relevant deadline:

  • For new and current students who choose to apply for only the financial support that is not dependent on their or their family's income, the deadline is usually in early April.
  • For other new students, the deadline is usually in early July.
