Book Library Refurbishment

 

The Book Library will close at 21:00 on Friday, 15th June 2007 and will reopen to all users on 1st October 2007.

Important Information for Evening Library Users

 

The Courtauld Institute has recently reviewed its security arrangements and this has resulted in revised arrangements for evening access to the Book Library.

 

The front door of the Institute will now be locked at 5.30pm (instead of 7pm).

 

On your first visit, if you wish to gain access after 5.30pm, please contact security at the Gallery entrance (opposite the Institute’s entrance) up to 6pm; between 6-6.45pm press the intercom button located to the right of the Gallery front door. Security staff will then let you into the Institute front door.

 

At the same time, you will be given a form to request an access card. Please complete this form and leave it at Library reception. On the following day an electronic access card will be made for you and posted out to you. On subsequent visits you will be able to insert the card into the reader on the left of the Institute door to gain direct access between 5.30pm and 7pm Monday to Friday.

 

You will still need to have with you your library card to get through the library barriers.
